Knee osteoarthritis treatment
Arthrosamid® is a next-generation injection for knee osteoarthritis, designed to cushion the joint and provide long-lasting pain relief in a single procedure.
By placing a soft, non-biodegradable hydrogel directly into the knee, it helps to reduce pain and support more confident, everyday movement when traditional options have not gone far enough.

Book a free discovery callArthrosamid® is a minimally invasive treatment for knee osteoarthritis, delivered by experienced specialists using established clinical protocols. Our injection pathway has been refined over hundreds of patients at AMSK Clinic, Harley Street, London.
The injection is carried out under AMSK local anaesthesia, ultrasound guidance and IV antibiotic cover, creating a smooth, controlled and virtually painless experience.

Intravenous antibiotics are given and the knee is cleaned twice with antiseptic prior to the Arthrosamid® injection.

Ultrasound is used to assess the knee. AMSK local anaesthetic is given and any excess joint fluid is gently drained.

Arthrosamid® is injected using specialist needles, following the AMSK anaesthetic mix for comfort and precision.

The needle is removed, a plaster is applied and you can walk on your knee straight away. The full visit typically takes around 45 minutes.
ARTHROSAMID®
Arthrosamid® is an intra-articular polyacrylamide hydrogel injection for the symptomatic treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Once injected into the inner joint cavity, it helps to restore viscosity within the synovial fluid, improving lubrication and cushioning of the joint.
Over time, Arthrosamid® integrates into the synovium of the inner joint capsule, creating a soft, cushion-like effect that supports smoother, more comfortable movement.
ARTHROSAMID®
Arthrosamid®’s story started two decades ago. The product has been in human use for various indications since 2000, and a favourable safety profile has already been established.
work process
Arthrosamid® is different from viscosupplement injections for the knee such as hyaluronic acid (HA), platelet rich plasma (PRP) and regenerative stem cell therapy. Unlike these treatments, Arthrosamid® is a non-degradable hydrogel with the capacity to lubricate and cushion the joint for longer. It can also become integrated into the soft synovial tissue of the joint capsule, which may support longer-lasting pain relief.
